Due to the presentation and spring break, work this week is not fast.

No feedback has been received on the details of the model, so I reflected and combed the entire design process for the Thursday presentation. Combining the feedback I received after the presentation, I summarized some of the shortcomings of my research process and presentation.

The research work is not enough. My previous idea was to try my best to make the model look like the existing data. Although there is not much information, I think I may find some details. In addition, the feedback on how to use limited information to model also made me think. This is an issue I have never considered before, and maybe I can summarize some experiences and share them.

The third is about the speech. I think Maria’s opinion is very important. Some important details are not paid attention to by me and ignored in the display. In contrast, Joe has done a good job in this area, and I should learn more from him.

I am going to refresh the content of the presentation and do some mock presentations by next week.

Regarding the project, I started the last part of work last week, and I tried to make fog under URP. Fog is an important way to create realism. In addition, I want the scene to produce some volumetric light in the sun. This is different from other rendering pipelines. Under HDRP, the fog effect can be easily achieved using volume and built-in functions. Under the default rendering pipeline, I used to use plug-ins to accomplish this, but the effect was average. It seems that a completely different approach is needed under URP. I downloaded some files from Github and imported them into the project for testing. The files worked fine in the test scenario, but I failed to set this fog effect correctly in the project scenario.

Because URP streamlines related functions, this solution seems to be the simplest and direct method. So next I will try to debug. I need to figure out its implementation principle and related parameter settings.
